Hello Nikon people, and a happy Thanksgiving to those in the US this week. A recent day spent with those for whom I'm particularly grateful (first responders and those who commit to military service), gave me a chance to see something else I've always enjoyed - a hard working bird dog outside of its usual element. This Lab/Pointer mix and his MP handler specialize in working disaster scenes, looking for people in trouble. Pointed your Nikon gear at something you'll be thinking about this week? Share a photo!

00ZdvT-418129584.jpg.633216610f0063f831ac33373dc36a6a.jpg

Hi Nikonistas,
Been rummaging through the hard drive checking for images to make up a calendar, found some gems I had forgotten about. This is from our summer vacation trip to Spain. Tiger shaking off water after trying to submerge to fetch a bit of chicken thrown by the keepers.

Happy Wednesday! I've been seeing a lot of Monarch butterflies lately, so thought I would share one with you. I usually find them on the lavender Crucita bush, but liked this on the Butterfly Milkweed plant, since it's about as close to "Fall Colors" as we have down here. Hope everyone in the US has a Happy Thanksgiving, and for those friends elsewhere, have a happy day! (D90/Sigma 150mm@1/2500 f/4.5 ISO 400)
