Happy Wednesday, all. It's again that time of year when I'm lucky enough to book a half-day job shooting a litter of German Shorthaired Pointers at a very well-regarded breeder's house. This time around there were nine pups, and on Sunday I caught up with them at exactly six weeks old. I'll probably inflict upon this long-suffering audience at least one or two more shots from the session, but first stop is one of the out-takes (which are almost always more fun than the portaits that I'm actually there to shoot). Late in the afternoon, this serene little girl became a big yawner - but she always kept one eye on me (I had the bag of bratwurst we were using for bribes).

Ever used food as an important Nikon accessory?
We have had a crazy week here in Western Massachusetts. Tornadoes and storms have done some terrible damage to our towns. My extended family and I have been volunteering in Springfield, where my family originates and still lives, trying to help those who need some clean up in their yards. I took a break tonight, with my daughter, to shoot some wonderful peonies which survived the weather. Happy Wednesday to all.

00Yr0v-367047584.jpg.ed518484ffee0d87ce394afe12b8564f.jpg

Matt - great dog expression
Bill and Roberta - glad you like the D7000 - perhaps i should get one
Lorne - I am submitting the same flower
Jana - a bit different this time but very nice.
Sanford - love the contrast and light
Mark - great 'works'
Simon - Cute
John D - love it -
To the rest - love your stuff also.
Mine was taken lying flat on the ground in my backyard and the camera is on the ground. I got a few bites where no one should get them but I got the shot but no shots were required. (*_*)

Good Morning Nikonistas,
Stacks of great images already! Hope this is up to muster?
Swans were bang on position while I was setting up...sadly they hadn't read the script for the evening and moved off before the sunset got to prime stage! Models! huh! still love this shot.
I know it's not all about the kit but I am finding the D40 very limiting at times...time to save!
Had a brief shot of friends D3100...like! Just need to have a read and see what will suit best.
Matt, Bill, Roberta, Sanford & Robert...great images, Tony...tour de force in DOF!
Nikon D40X (50-500mm F/4-6.3G) @ 85mm, F/6.3 @ 1/4000s, ISO 100

00Yr1n-367065584.JPG.640d7d6c1bcccf62d2f968c8e42595d5.JPG
