Dieter Schaefer
Just bought a 150/2.8 Macro - since Nikon doesn't make one, I had to settle for the Sigma version. Second the 80-400 AF-S VR - doubt it will be a constant f4 though (judging by the current price for the 200-400/4 such a lens would be north of $7k and weigh around 10 pounds). A 10-20/4 AF-S DX. A 16-70/4 DX AF-S VR. A 70-200/4 AF-S VR. The return of the 70-180 Micro in AF-S disguise and constant f4 aperture. A 400/4 AF-S VR that cost only around $3000. A 300-500/4 AF-S VR for the price of the current 200-400/4 and no additional weight. A 24-105/4 AF-S VR for FX.

ronald_moravec1
You should have been at the camera show with me when I got a nice 105 2.5 Ai for $100. Nice lens on a D700.
david.elliott
That would have been sweet. Nice deal! I figure I will go with KEH bargain grade. That is, unless I luck out on ebay.
shuo_zhao
>> "Nikon 80-400/F4 AF-S" If that's going to be f/4 all the way, it's going to cost a lot of $$$, probably more than the 200-400 f/4. I would love a rather flawless version of the 70-200 2.8, the yet to be introduced telephoto counterpart to my 24-70 2.8. Nikon probably should update all of their primes (plus the 80-400) with improved AF-S versions, and introduce several high quality f/4 pro-grade zooms that cost less than their f/2.8 counterparts. The 300 f/4 and 180 f/2.8 need to have VR.
mats nilson photography
Please, S:t Nikon, let me have a 200mm f4G AF-S VR Macro for Christmas! Or maybe a 400mm f5.6G AF-S VR that I could sling over my shoulder while walking my dog, just in case something turns up.

michael_alger
My wishlist, all FX lenses: 24-105/4 AF-S VR 200/2.8 or 180/2.8 AF-S VR micro then the fast primes, all AF-S and VR from the 85: 15/2.8, 20/2.8, 28/1.4, 85/1.4, 300/4, 400/5.6 last but not least: 125/2.5 Voigtlander APO macro available again with Nikon mount, but this may be another Santa to ask for... landon wright photography
85mm 1.8 and the 105 macro! Since this is a wish list: I want a front spoiler and neon lights on my lens hood for the 24-70mm 2.8. A 10-500mm f1.4 zoom that weighs 2 pounds. A polarizer filter that will magically fit on my 14-24mm f2.8. A dust eating fairy that constantly lives in my camera closet and backpack. A uav like flash that can hover around my work area. And finally a one terabyte CF card. And world peace.
dweezil
<i>just a off the wall question with Christmas comeing what lens/lenes would would you be asking for? huntrbll
A 70mm f2 AFS DX lens with the same basic optical formula/construction as the old AIS 105 f2.5. That would make a perfect portrait lens on a Nikon DX body.....I would stand in line for one....
josephwalsh
24-105 f4 VR 85mm 1.8 VR 35mm f1.4 24mm f2 all Full Framers, all AF-S I'd also like the new 50mm 1.4 but only if it's very good at 1.4 and f2. Otherwise, I'll stick with my 1.8.

ian_rose
One more wish for santa's elves would be a adaptor to make all lenes AF-s with little or no degregation in quality and no magnifaction that way all lenes could be used on all camera's at intended focal length
