christinegiancola
I sent in my Nikon AF Nikkor 28mm 1:1.4D recently for repair at an authorized Nikon repair center and was told that the parts are no longer available. The Auto/Manual switch is broken. I called Nikon and they verified that they did not have the part and quit making parts for this lens in 2015. I am looking for someone who can repair the lens and would appreciate any help in finding a repair center that may have the part or be able to fix it without the specific Nikon part. ian_watson1
Try this place: Nikon camera service and repair - Authorized Photo Service, Inc. I have used them and been happy with the work and the service.
JDMvW
The APS shop in Morton Grove (above) is good and been in business a long time, but they may not have the parts either.
ian_watson1
True, but it is the sort of place that might. It doesn't hurt to ask. Another place that may be able to help is Fixation in London, England. Fixation Good luck!
bgelfand
I have never used them for repair, but a place that may have the part (if APS does not) is KEH Repair They are a very reputable dealer, but as I wrote, I have had no experience with their repair service. daniel_bliss
If either of the above haven't provided you with any positive result, try Midwest Camera Repair in Wyandotte, Michigan--they do excellent work on lenses and they service pretty much everything.
