Nikon Introduces Mirrorless Z System

  1. Well, the alarm clock problem was when it was passively illuminated. It lives in the bathroom, so that I can't see when to get out of the bath. I could believe the D810A had such a mode, but as Paul reminded me, it was the XT3 where I noticed it recently.

  2. I guess independent lenses will need re-chipping or a firmware upgrade.

Are either of those Tamrons fitted with the usb port?

  3. I believe the latest 24-70 and 70-200 work with Tamron's version of Sigma's dock (and I maintain both companies would have been better fitting a port to the lens, if only to avoid the mount/calibrate/unmount/update cycle). I believe my older Tamron 24-70 doesn't support it.

  4. Just had the first true 'Pre Order' for the Z6 + FTZ Adapter from Amazon UK for release on Nov 30th.

    £2200.

Seems all Z related kit, ie lenses etc is out on the same date.

Amazon US for same is $2143 on same date.

  5. Huh. The Z7 was supposed to ship first, wasn't it? Except presumably not in much quantity, and NPS people get priority.

  6. That's what I thought.....That's why I posted!!

  7. Weird. At least we can console ourselves with actually being able to buy a D850 (at a premium) in the UK. :)
