Nikon FM10 Flash Question

Not sure if the metal base of the FM10 hot shoe will short out any of the extra flash control pins and cause the Canon flash not to work properly. Try it and see (but turn the flash off before attaching/detaching it to the hot shoe).

If there is a problem, you can get around it with an SC-17 cord (expensive), or a PC cord and mount the flash off camera, or cut a piece of film the size of the hot shoe and punch a hole in it to let only the center pin make contact and slip it between the hotshoe and the flash.
