karl_keung
I am somehow unable to select "detailed" function under the "shooting data"--"data stored" menu, the cursor just does not move down (or up for that matter), it remains at the "basic" tab, is my camera defective or am I missing something? thanks. steve_yeatts
Do you already have other data stored under the 'basic' setting? If so, try deleting it and then selecting detailed. Steve
karl_keung
thanks steve, i got it, this is a confusing feature which the F6 manual does not address adequately. too change from "basic" to "detailed", you MUST first delete all stored data. when deleting the data, remember to press the cursor AGAIN after seeing "deleting all data..." at first, i thought the data were being deleted when "deleting all data..." signs appear, and did not press the cursor again to confirm, because I thought wrongly that "...." means the deletion is underway, but it is not, the "..." signs in the Nikon menu means you have to press the cursor to confirm. the F6's LCD is not the most intuitive one you see, those on D2x/D200 are far more sophisticated.
