Nikon D70 and SB24 speedlight

Did you set it to auto, then set the aperture on the SB24 (example F5.6), then set the aperture on the camera to that aperture setting, set the camera to manual, shutterspeed to around 1/30 to 1/125, and aperture the same as set on the flash (F5.6). This setup works very well with the D70. It's made necessary as TTL cannot be used with this flash and the D70.
