Have had good luck diffusing the light a little more with "Artist's Tape" - basically white masking tape with a more removeable adhesive. If you're not careful, specular highlights will be very distinctive - a ring of 10 or so light sources. Very nice toy for the photobag, though. (Oh, and batteries are NOT included. If you've got a few of 'em (CR232's, IIRC) from older P&S cameras sitting around, the SL-1 is a great way to eke out any remaining juice from 'em.)
