steve_stark1
I have Nikon lenses with filter sizes ranging from 52-72mm. I have all the filters I need for my photography but they are the older Wratten 3x3 gel type. I am considering buying the Nikon AF-3 gel filter holder but need adapter rings for my lenses. I am having a hard time finding these Nikon adapter rings. Does anyone know where these rings might be purchased or know of a suitable replacement? I am also looking for a single polarizer that would work with all these lenses. I am assuming a 72mm polarizer with step-ups would do the job.
Thanks in advance,
Steve

rodeo_joe1
There's nothing special about Nikon branded adapter rings and there must be a million or more off-brand step-up rings for sale on *bay alone! A nice gel filter holder for 3x3 filters was also available from a company called Hama. However, if you're going to use a step-up ring with a polariser, I wouldn't go closer than a 10mm step, otherwise there's a risk of the extra depth of the ring causing some vignetting.
