alex_lofquist
I recently purchased one of the above from KEH in excellent condition. I have enjoyed using it on my 500mm Nikkor looking at anything out there. As it only magnifies the central portion of the frame, the image is exceptionally sharp. (Even with a TC14B added.) At one time I had some documentation concerning the magnification as a function of the lens focal length, (along with the size of the exit pupil). The construction appears to use roof prism in conjunction with an eyepiece of about 5mm FL. But that is merely a guess on my part. I have mounted it on a Sidekick, but the balance without the weight of a camera is precarious. I would appreciate any info and suggestions for use that anyone can add. Thanx, Alex

darren_cokin
Wouldn't it be great if someone came out with something like this that had a battery, to power up a lens's VR feature? I wonder if there would be any more to it than just sending the proper voltage to two pins. That wouldn't be too hard to jury rig. Darren
joseph_wisniewski
Darren - you need a processor to send the proper VR on and off messages. That way, it only runs when AF and metering are active. Take a Nikon N75 (cheapest camera that will power a VR lens) and remove the focusing screen). That will leave you electronics and power system, and an inverting viewfinder...
