Nex 6 and 7 Bulb setting...

Recommended Posts

I am one of these annoying people who just scratch the surface of the Manual and then post questions about things I should have gleaned from said Manual.
However in this case I learnt something the other day about these cameras, which may apply to other cameras as well and I thought it worth mentioning.
I always wondered why there is to 'T' setting.....open the shutter with one click and close it with the second. It seemed frustrating to have to rig up some sort of cable release to keep the shutter open for a 2 minute exposure or whatever and I wondered why Sony left this useful little feature off; but of course they didn't !
It will make this all worthwhile if one reader didn't know this...turn the shutter speed dial to Bulb and set the shooting mode to Remote, and with your £5 remote trigger you will be able to take pictures with as long an exposure as you want...one click to open the shutter and a second to close it...10 seconds, 27 seconds, 56 seconds or 5 minutes.
I fully intend to read more in future.
