New toys I purchased today at my local flea market, I also picked up a couple for the Modern Film Cameras forum I'll post as well.

--
First camera is a 1953 *KSK Proud III Chrome Six* which uses 120mm film and can switch from 6x4.5cm to 6x6cm,well at least the switch does, not sure how it really does it?
The lens is a Yamasaki S-Congo 1:3.5, 7.5cm. This does have the red *S*.
The only info I could find on or about this camera is HERE. This camera also included the brown leather field case with leather film canister holder.
This model is missing the right hinge, the lens does not snap in place, not sure if that's because of the missing arm.
The bellows appears to be good, I have not held it up to the light to confirm, its not tattered.
I have not been successful in tripping the shutter, but then again I have played with it to much.

--
The seconded camera is a 1968 *Minolta AL-E* 35mm, with a Minolta Rokkor-QF 1:1.8, 40mm and soft field case.
Attached is a Vivitar auto 252 flash, the cool thing with this flash, there is a little plastic button that illuminates the guide dial on the back, easy to read at night.
The camera is very clean, in and out, the soft case has a little wear, but not bad for its vintage.
The controls and lever seem a little stiff but that may be due to non-use? But they function. I cant wait to use this camera.

From what I see both of these cameras maybe rare? Can anyone confirm that?

Best Regards,

Rare, maybe. I'm continually searching for PRE-war Japanese folders ( big names and lesser-known varieties). Post-war variants like your Proud Chrome Six model are equally scarce on eBay, but market prices for properly listed ones in good shape are relatively low. if the right person is looking for one like yours to rebuild, restore, or add to collection, don't expect more than 50 bucks.
AL-E's don't pop up as often as earlier AL-S rangefinders. It's a neat camera, though, with CdS metering and sharp 40/1.8 Rokkor. Kind of limited with shutter speeds, but it will work w/o battery.
Pretty darn good finds for flea market, Jack. Try to get these classics up and running and post photos from them soon.

Great finds Jack, especially the Proud folder, kind of reminds me of the Mamiya Six or the Olympus Six. I hope you can restore it and get it operational. Have not come across the AL-E yet, but enjoy as well, that rokkor the same as the AL-S, very sharp.

The AL-E is rarer than others of the AL series, it's pretty much a Minoltina AL-s with a CdS meter instead of selenium, and a shutter-preferred mode. Nice camera and easy to repair should it need it (easier than a Hi-Matic 9, anyway). I've been looking for one for awhile, but get outbid when they do show up. Should be a very good shooter.

Thanks every one! I do plan on using the Minolta as soon as I can. The folder, I'm not sure how in depth of rebuilding it myself I will do, I'm not that skilled as some of you in rebuilding these things and don't want to learn on this camera. So it may sit or may go to action? I honestly don't think it would take much to get it back usable in the right hands.
