nina_eaton
I've been successfully selling my southwest photography for about 3 yrs. I've also taken family pictures for a few friends and charged them a flat fee of $75 - $150 for a CD with 30-100 images. They also bought matted 8x10's and 11x 14's @ $30 - $40 each.
At a recent photo exhibit, I was approached by a couple to take pictures of their family reunion this summer. The group will consist of about 25 people and will be in about 4 different venues, one being about 25 miles away. They will also want pictures of the different families at the reunion, so there will be several groups.
My question is what do I charge? I shoot with an Olympus E-410 and only do simple editing of cropping, lighting, red eye, B&W, Sepia, etc. No changing of backgrounds, merging, etc. It has been suggested that I charge a sitting fee of $100 or more, depending on distance traveled and then maybe have packages that include a CD with prints...or a CD with matted prints.
Sure would appreciate some advice from those of you that have some experience in this area.
Nina
