cd thacker
For those interested in the Nikon F, here is what looks to be the most comprehensive work ever undertaken on the subject, The Nikon F Book. Written by Uli Koch, a veteran participant in and author of the Nikon Historical Society, the work is divided into three volumes, housed together in a slipcase. Expensive, but probably also the final word on Nikon F. I found out about this at Stephan Gandy's excellent CameraQuest. gary_watson
Funny, I got the complete 2 vol. Cooper "Nikon-Nikkormat Handbook" off an old friend for $20 recently. Can't imagine what Koch found to stuff into 3 vols., aside from arcana like font changes on the boxes or lists of firms(and their employees)that printed the instruction books 8^). kelly_flanigan1
Gary; the 2 vol. Cooper "Nikon-Nikkormat Handbook" sets were not cheap when new. I got the earlier white/brown set; and subscribed to all the updates. Later they introduced the black/yellow version; and I got that; plus all the updates until they stopped making them. The first white/brown set is copyright 1968; 1973; the black set 1973. Their is alot of missing older info; if one just has the black set; or a white set with all the updates. The sheets replaced during an "update" often are richer on info on the ancient lenses.
