ni_gentry
I'm wondering if anybody has seen/touched any of the new Asuka leather (simulated leather) covers (maybe at WPPI) and could comment on the quality, look and feel...
ni_gentry
Oh, if you haven't heard about these, they sent out a postcard a while ago and they are supposed to start offering them like next month I think for the EX line.
bdp
Interesting, I really like the Asuka sample album, and am looking to doing my sample album with them and hopefully a few brides. I really love the Graphi, but Asuka impressed me.
phoneguy
I had my hands on them at WPPI. The thing is, I had my hands on 20 other vendors albums too. Soooo...They didn't stand out in the crowd, if that helps. I had no idea there were so many album companies out there.
jefferson_todd_pals
I thought they were great! I preferred the feel of their "animal-friendly" (faux leather) over the real hide. It adds a nice quality to the coffee-table style for the clients that just can't afford a high end book or for smaller shoots. Just a word to the wise though. The new softcover option looks cheap. The cover prints are not fully adhered to the inside cover page. They're only mounted at the spine and the edge of the page. It's super hard to visualize but I would suggest staying away from that option. The hardcover books are wonderful though.
christian_binot
I don't see a real application for the leather cover, we like the graphic design of the hardcover book... I don't think we will be offering the leather option.C. Binot
joann
It's been several months and I still don't have information on the leather covers. Has anybody seen or priced them?
