rodeo_joe1
Would Neewer transmitters work with Yongnuo receivers? - Probably not. There's no standard for the encoding of these things. Besides, Neewer re-badge four or five different models of flash trigger. So which model are we talking about?

rodeo_joe1
The Neewer FT-16s is a re-badged Godox product. I have a set that I use with Godox 'Ving' V860N flashes. I'm pretty sure it won't work with YongNuo receivers or transceivers of which I have their RF-602s and 603s. Completely different systems. The FT-16 allows for triggering and setting the power remotely on compatible Godox flashes, with the addition of a little receiver adapter. Whereas the YongNuo transceivers are simple dumb triggers. Looking at the spec. I see that the Godox transmitter and YongNuo transceivers don't even use the same radio frequency band.

My point was I wanted to use a cheap trigger with my yongnuo flashes in which I can control them from the transmitter.
rodeo_joe1
Which YongNuo flashes do you have? The YN 560III flash has a built-in receiver compatible with RF-602 and 603 transceivers. It's a trigger system only, and doesn't allow power control from the camera. The Godox FT-16s system only works with selected Godox/Neewer flashes to provide remote control of their power. Useful if the flashes are hidden away in a softbox or other modifier. The YongNuo remote control option appears to be limited to their 622 system, and compatible flashes. It's not particularly cheap. Cheapest option is simply to walk over to your flashes!
mohamedelsayyed
I have the YN560 and YN565EX. I have the very basic triggers with no LCD, They recently started acting up. As I don't use triggered flashes very often, I have been looking for a very cheap alternative -hopefully- with an LCD so I can control the flashes from the transmitter. rodeo_joe1
No chance of remotely controlling the power of a YN560. It's manual control only. All you can do is fire it by radio trigger. The YN565EX would need a pair of YongNuo's 622 transceivers, or their 622 LCD screen controller + a transceiver. Worth 100 bucks? Depends how desperate you are to save a short walk to a lighting stand. "They recently started acting up." - Did you try new batteries and cleaning the contacts? Or even check out that your camera hotshoe is OK? No point throwing money at new triggers if something else is faulty.
