Need voltage adapter for Canon G3 in Spain.

I am going to Spain and need to know if I need to get a voltage

adapter so that I can recharge the Batteries in my G3 and Tripper.

 

What kind do I need and where would be the best place to get it?

You might not need one. I have two Canon digital cameras and both adapters work from 100-240v. You should only need a plug adapter to match the adapter prongs. Turn over the charger and read the bottom. It will tell you there what the voltage range is.

The safest choice would probably be getting a universal power adapter like the targus which would allow you to adapt many different plugs to fit different equipment. If you know the type of plugs you will have access to you can purchase a specific plug adapter for less money. On the other hand you might not even need it, I stayed at a hotel in south africa where different plug adapters were built into the wall. Do a search on pricegrabber.com for the cheapest adapter you need.

From my experience with my g2 and s110, you'll just need a plug adapter, not a voltage adapter. All of my digital camera chargers are 110-240v. It will say on the bottom of your g3 charger if it is or not.

Yes, it's 100-240v. I should have looked at the manual first.

 

I already have a bunch of different plug adapters from previous trip's, but I have never needed to recharge batteries before. Always take extra disposables for my Elan7.

 

I have not received my Tripper yet. I hope it doesnt need one.
