frans_waterlander
I have currently SpectraView II version 1.1.20.00 installed. When I try to update to version 1.1.32.00 (after updating my AMD Radeon HD 6450 graphics card driver) I get eleven "Error opening file for writing" messages related to the SpectaView II files on my C drive. When I ignore those error messages, the program completes, but when I check, the old version 1.1.20.00 is still active. Any ideas?

frans_waterlander
Chatted with NEC's Kira. He suggested I download the update directly from their website, not through the update feature in the software. I did and all is fine.
AlanKlein
That's weird. Isn't it the same update?
Flickr gallery: https://www.flickr.com/photos/alanklein2000/albums
frans_waterlander
Yes, it's the same update and yes, it's weird, but it installs one way and not the other.
bebu_lamar
I downloaded the program from the website and had the same problem. The problem as I found out that the update can't rewrite the files when the application is still open. The update program doesn't close Spectraview II for you.
