Nature Photo Workshop

I was wondering if anyone had attanded a workshop by Jerry Monkman.

He has one in the White Mountains of NH that looks interesting and I

was wondering about the quality and experience of his workshops>

Hello Howard,

I attended a White Mountains workshop with Jerry last fall (2004). It was a lot of fun. He is very responsive to participants needs, flexible and quite knowledgeable about the area. We went to a number of different locations and spent a significant amount of time in the field shooting. He is easy to talk to and will spend time with you to the degree that you want. At one point, I was having trouble figuring out an exposure and he was quite helpful; the rest of the time I usually just wanted to be left alone to shoot and he respected that, checking in every once in awhile. I went on this trip primarily to get my butt into the White Mountains and learn about good locaions to shoot in the future. I accomplished that and learned quite a bit from him as well. I am thinking of doing it again next fall, as the cost of the whole thing through the AMC is much cheaper than doing it on your own.
