Myrtle Beach Photo location ideas welcome

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I will be traveling to Myrtle Beach and would like any suggestions on where to shoot for wildlife and landscape/seaside locations. I am

trying to get some large trees with Spanish Moss as well as sunrise beach shots. I've been to MB many times and always find myself

driving north into NC for shooting. Any suggestions? open to other shooting ideas as well.

Thanks.

It's a bit of a drive direct south (maybe an hour or so, I forget) but Charleston has a lot of fascinating streets, trees and

buildings. Perhaps even better than Charleston for your intent are the 2 or 3 estates some 20 or so miles up the river at Charleston, some

of which have huge trees and Spanish moss, as well as remnants of the plantations. A worthwhile day trip, even 2-day with stop-over for a

night.

I am an Englishman living in Wilmington about half an hour away from Myrtle Beach, Spainish Moss in abundance, beautiful Inter Coastal Waterways, Southport, nice Downtown with plenty of character and historic homes, i think its has everything here, there is certainly plenty of nature, beaches include Wrightsville, Fort Fisher, Ocean Isle, Holden, but for me its the Waterways and the beautiful green almost irredesent grass that grows in them, i went kayaking last weekend, absolutly stunning.

I only have ever heard good things about Charleston too, my parents arrive tomorrow from London and we will be heading up there next weekend
