al_kaplan1
Last Wednesday morning I walked bleary eyed into Starbucks for my morning coffee, not even noticing the big banner across the front window. Belle Deaux had taken a bunch of scans of my photos that I'd taken at Starbucks and printed up a seven foot long banner with them. She'd already called the manager at Starbucks a couple weeks before telling him it was my birthday, and he agreed to put up the banner. She didn't tell me anything, and somehow all the people who worked there managed to keep the secret for days on end also. What a nice surprise! The photo of me in front of the banner was shot by my ex, Claudia Bailey, who can be seen sitting at the table with me in the other shot. That was the most fun birthday I've had since I was a kid. Thanks also to all my photonet friends who who IM'd, Emailed, and called me. It was a fantastic experience!<div></div>

Jochen_S
Another belated "Happy Birthday"; my skill to remember dates is really poor. Keep going, snapping and posting; I enjoy your postings and believe the Leica forum would be boring without them.

BUT where are those 15mm shower stall photos that we KNOW you made of your whole crew, jammed in there, covered in bubbles?
