michael_beckmann
I want to mount color filter foil on my Speedlite 580EX. I could just tape it in front of the reflector, but I don't like this solution. I want to be able to install and uninstall the filter quickly while I work. Does anybody know of a proper solution for this, perhaps a kind of filter holder? Thanks!
j_smith6
There are some plastic/glass flash filters but it's so hard to find them. I like this idea, which seems to be the best: <br> <a href="http://strobist.blogspot.com/2006/03/lighting-101-using-gels-to-correct.html">http://strobist.blogspot.com/2006/03/lighting-101-using-gels-to-correct.html</a> <br><br> Some other useful links: <br> <a href=""http://photogels.com/>http://photogels.com/</a> <br> and <br> <a href="http://www.filmtools.com/rosliggel.html">http://www.filmtools.com/rosliggel.html</a> <br><br> Unfortunately I'm not able to find these plastic/glass filters that you just mount on your flash - but they exist :)
kevin_hess
check at porters.com in stuido lighting about 2/3 of the way down the first page.
hjoseph7
Be careful with filters that reflect the light back to the flash, they can blow-out your reflector. I use Lumiquest filters to balance the light in a scene http://www.lumiquest.com/lq971.htm .
picturesque
The Demb filter holder is more durable than the strobist method. http://www.dembflashproducts.com/accessories/
