Even virtually abandoned, there is a bit of claustrophobia inducing closeness to this and other old tenement areas of lower Manhattan. There is just a hint of lean in / convergence at the top of the photo. You have captured that even without the crowds & cars. It takes me back to days long ago of wandering the city with my Nikon F.
