bill_currier
I will be traveling to GTNP in mid September. I am open to any off the beaten path photo locations and tips/suggestions.

Also, I do want to shot a morning session at Mormon row. Do I need any permission form land owners?

Thanks! Your insights are much appreciated!
eric_silvi
I've been to GTNP twice and photographed Mormon's Row. You don't need permission (the buildings are part of the NPS) . Arrive early, you will be surprised how many photographers will be there.
Sorry, I didn't really get off the beaten path, so I can't help you with that.
gordon_lukesh1
Look for places like String Lake and also Cunningham Cabin. Pretty much I don't think you can take a bad picture at the Tetons.
billyphotos
There are a few roads you can take that are off the beaten path, ask any of the rangers which ones are good to take since there are Grizzly bears roaming around, if you plan to walk around get pepper spray I have had a few close encounters with bears when I was there. The morning is a great time to get mormons row. Check out my pictures from last june http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=844617
