aaron_cowan
I'm going to Spring Training in Florida for one week and need to know a good monopod to get. I will be sitting in the stands like everyone else but I will have some longer lenses with me (EF 70-200 f4 and EF 300 f4) and would need the support. I have looked all over for a small monopod (14", 16") but can't seem to find one. Also, does anyone know how strict the ballparks are with just a casual fan lugging in this equipment (primarily the EF 300 f4)? Jerry_
Several 'models' of monopods are 3- or 4-sections that fold up when not in use. Have a look at the B&H Photo-Video web-site.....
craig_gillette
You could check with the teams. From what I've seen, the outfields seemed to be pretty casual. In stands, I'd think they'd at least want you to not interfere with other customers enjoying the game too.
jj_self
there was no restrictions at the Astros park and i had my 200-400w 2x. hand holding wasnt a big deal because most of the games are afternoon when there is lots of light<div></div>
mathew_baker
Get a bogen compact monopod with a tilt head. Bogens are industructable. But really sounds like you might even be able to hand hold these lens, at least during the day time anyway.
