borrel1
Has anyone tried to or thought of modifying the Polaroid pack film back to cover a clean square 3"x3" area by removing the 45? angled corners? Adorama still have T-665 positive/negative Polaroid film, but the angled corners of the Polaroid back for the GX680 makes it useful only for proofs. I thought sawing them out for right angled corners would make the GX680 useful as a semi large format camera using T-665PN. Would removing parts of that circular ridge cause serious light leaks? Could they be prevented with self-adhesive light sealing? After all, the Polaroid back just clamps on with no need for rotation.
polle_aubert
Hi, I don't think sawing out the corners will have any effect. as you can see at the back of the body, when the filmback is of, there are some 45 degree corners as well... so, sawing out the corners of your polaroid back won't get you a bigger plane.
