Shun, shall we expect an announcement from you at 12:01 am 7/19/2017?
Curious minds want to know.
Expect me to announce that Nikon's 100th anniversary is coming up in another week, on 25th July 2017.
Otherwise, perhaps you know something I don't.

But, that sounded like a 'maybe' to me. I hope Nikon gives us some cool new stuff.

Ah, I see the (very tentative) rumour. So do I. But I should probably get that survey for new features out, that I promised six months ago (before a work crunch), so we can all be properly disappointed at what Nikon should have delivered.
It seems not, but I guess it depends what time zone you're in
May be on the 25th an anniversary model? A new model not anniversary edition of current models.
Nikon is not the only photography equipment manufacturer that is celebrating their 100th anniversary this year. Gitzo was also founded in 1917, and they have a couple of 100th-anniversary-edition tripods for sale if anyone is interested.
And we're not far from Bowens being 100 years old either.
Bowens is reported to be in liquidation:

Hence "Ah". Sad, though, in case my comment came across as uncaring. I now feel guilty about never getting around to buying studio flashes.
