stephen hazelton
I found the permits you mention. Also lists a phone number to call for questions. I note that those permits apply only to NYC property and parks, not to private property, not to federal property.
sabrina_h.
I obtained a permit to shoot a clothing line last year in Grand Central Station. It was a breeze. I called one week ahead of time. I did however try to obtain a permit to have a nude model in Times Square. That didn't go over too well. I had to call the mayor's office and talk to a specific dept (don't remember which one, but the operator will guide you). The man was quite nice over the phone and understood my artistic endeavors :D. He however stated to get such a permit would take about 2-3 months. But it could happen. Due to my impatience, i dropped the idea. If you're in NYC, I'd call 311 and tell them you'd like to obtain a permit for photography. They'll point you in the right direction. good-luck
