david_eicher
Picked up this little cheap remote and trying to figure it out. Seems to workfine up real close, but gets squirrely when you move out over 10 feet or so fromcamera. Does anyone know the limitations of this little unit as to distances andangles of use? leicaglow
I've used mine to about 40-50', but I did have a problem when using it with a bigger flower-pedal type lens hood. I'm not sure where the sensor is, but could your lens be obstructing it?
david_eicher
The infrared mark is the little red triangle on the hand grip area. I am tending to wonder if the battery may not have been a fully charge unit.
frank_skomial
Is it possible that you hold the little IR in reversed position? That is pointing the little tip of the glass diode toward yourself, and aiming the longer back of it to the camera ?

jon e
Range should be about 15 feet, however it is also angle dependent and must be from the front of the camera.
