  1. Disposing of Outdated Flares
  2. Statue, Pacific Grove, CA
  3. Cannery Workers Shack, Cannery Row
  4. The Future of Panhandling
  5. A couple of good friends stopped by to visit for a few of days. I took the opportunity to get some portraits.
    Sony A7, Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L, MB4 Adapter
  6. Sony A7RII, FE 90mm f/2.8 macro
  7. Traeth Dinlle
  8. Niagara Falls (Ontario)
  9. Shehla Rashid Shora, student leader. I posted a monochrome version of this last month, but have since then been able to turn the offensive pink shirt behind her into grey. 24 mega-pixels give plenty of scope for cropping.
  10. Three frames from a Sony Alpha A7r, trying out an impressive old lens, the Tamron SP Adaptall 35mm-210mm f/3.5-4.2 (Model 26A)
  11. Nicollet Island, Minneapolis, MN in infrared (X-Pro 1, XF 18mm, R72)
  12. Bar entrance
  13. Adrian, I knew that had to be a Fuji before I scrolled down. Velvia mode?
  14. Abandoned cloth or perhaps a ...
  15. Sanford, no Fuji film mode. I haven't tried any of those yet. It was a raw file.
I think the angle of the sun really made those colors pop out. I normally apply a little vibrance and saturation (15 and 10) in LR, but I zeroed those for this shot.
  16. Finally have something to contribute
  17. Adrian, if the bar entrance is also the exit, it looks a little risky for people leaving.
  18. Sanford-Love the Cannery workers in the windows
Mukul-A lovely young lady. Lot's of cropping room on that sensor
Rick-A sharp lens with soft color. Nice! I love seeing these classics on your A7R.
Allen-Yes, it does look like a fossil!
    Brett-Nice detail in the feathers
  19. Thanks Louis. Those three shacks are displays preserved to show how cannery workers might have lived during the Sardine boom on Cannery Row. Even today they would make fairly nice studio apartments. Great location but would need curtains and parking.
  20. "Allen-Yes, it does look like a fossil!"
Thanks, Louis, Im not day dreaming alone:)
  21. Thanks Louis, for me the old lenses certainly provide more interest and variety than the excellent Sony glass. It really is a case of expecting the unexpected...
  22. Mukul, that was actually a normally locked emergency exit. The main entrance/exit is 10 feet away.
  23. Fitting, Adrian. People slide out of the emergency exits of aircraft also.
