ann_clancy6
i am thinking of getting a minolta diimage 7 to use as walking around street camera for some infrared projects. is there a big difference between these version with regard to the infrared possiblities? I have been using and will continue to use my D100 for a lot of ir work, but was looking for something lighter in weight. Before folks start sending me to the converting sites, i just want to keep the cost down and don't want to dedicate a DSLR to only IR work. jeffrypittman
Ann, I used several versions of the diimage 7 before going over to the Maxxum 7-D. I'd recommend (if you go this route) purchasing one of the latest models. Battery consumption on the early models was a terrible problem but Minolta made significant improvements with each version. jeffrypittman
Ann, check www.dpreview.com they have reviews of the full line. The 7, 7Hi, A200, etc. Hope that helps. I believe the A200 was the latest one.
