Minolta XK to Nikon F2AS.

I have a Minolta XK with the early version of the AE finder and a 58mm f/1.2 MC lens. Do you think I can get enough money out of them for a Nikon F2AS body?

Depends on the condition of both your Minolta items and the Nikon you'd be buying...

 

In general the Ultra Speed f/1.2 lens is more valuable than the usually malfunctioning XK bodies.

I would try to sell the lens separately. The XK, even when functioning properly, has some operating quirks that may cause those unfamiliar with it to think it is malfunctioning.

My wife used 3 XK's with plain prisms and 50mm lenses for about 30 years. She always used a separate meter to determine exposure for 400 speed slide film. These cameras are heavy but well made with accurate electronically controlled shutter. She also preferred the plain screen for composing her clients for the end resulting water color portrait. We still have 2 XK's, but she now uses one Sony A850. She will be 75 next year and plans to retire then.
