alia_jane
just bought a minolta srt 201, and i love it. i've shot two rolls of film withit when suddenly the shutter release and film advance lever both locked upcompletely. i've read around and i think all it needs is a CLA to loosen it up,but i'm not sure. has anyone experienced this or know of any other reason it maybe acting this way? thanks for any help. michael_marks6
Is there film in the camera? If so, you may be at the end of the roll and can't advance any farther. Also look to see if the rewind button is pushed in and also locked up. It's easy to open the bottom. sometimes you can trip the advance arms from there, but it's hard to explain without diagrams. Try to google "Minolta SRT 201 repair," or other such tags like "Minolta SRT 201 (and 101) stuck advance lever." Otherwise I have no suggestions except to take it to a repair shop. michael_marks6
Is the mirror in the "up" position? Here's some good info on that and other issues: http://www.willegal.net/photo/photo-first_page.htm
