chuck909
Back before cameras were invented – well not quite (1968) – while working for my Uncle S, I picked up my first SLR, a Minolta SR1s with a clip-on meter. Dang, but just a few months later while visiting home, it got lifted. I loved that camera and then got another Minolta, an SRT101. Time goes by and I switched to Canon. But I still had a soft spot for the SR1s. Well, just today I got one, and with the clip-on meter, too. Camera looks and functions great, but the CdS cell is close to dead. Guess I’ll have to start posting on the Minolta/Sony site as soon as I get some results. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

It had the 58mm 1.4 lens. I loved it. Just yesterday I was given a case containing a Minolta SR3 with clip-on selenium meter and 3 lens: 50mm f1.8 Rokkor, 135mm f3.5 Rokkor and a 70-300mm after market zoom. Looks like these were purchased late 50's or early 60's. I was also given a case containing a Canon IVSB rangefinder with 3 lenses, but that is another story from the 1950's. howardstanbury
You've reminded me of the SR-7 in my collection, it came later and I have a picture of it paired with a subsequent MD Rokkor F1.4 I love the clean simple design - a pentaprism with no flash mount! I look forward to seeing some results here.
chuck909
The results are in, and all is well. This is from the second roll (the first was just a test of the shutter) I did get a "new" clip-on meter and that's working well, too. Here's one shot. .
