gg1664886083
I have a laptop webcam with a onboard mic that I have turned into a USB camera. It has 6 wires ( blk, twisted pair red and brwn, orange, yellow and green. The pinout for the camera being...usb red (+5v) to cam blk,usb blk to cam orange, usb wht to cam brwn, usb grn to cam red... with yellow and green still open. Im assuming they must be for the mic? Does anyone have any clue how I should go about wiring the mic to the usb cable? Since then I have wired the mic as L and R to a 3.5 mm stereo jack and input it into line in. The cam is plugged into the usb. I get video but no sound. Im a DIY tinkerer with very little electronic knowledge. Please help
Ed_Ingold
Sound is usually interleaved with the video into a composite digital signal. This is done by the camera’s processor. You can’t run a straight audio signal into USB.
