dmcca
I'm going to be revisiting some delta 3200 this weekend (doing the expose at 1600 develop at 3200 thing,) and am most likely going to be pushing some hp5 one or two stops as well. I have access to both Microphen and DD-X. Have searched around and not really found any comparisons that show any tangable difference between the two (besides the whole wet/dry thing.) I know they both will work fine, but was wondering if anyone had any additional input concerning differences between these two developers. Thanks! david_beal___richmond_hts.
Go to ilfordphoto.com and look under photo community/forums. In the black & white forum there are many threads about the 2 developers. You're correct in that they are very similar. Good shooting. /s/ David Beal * Memories Preserved Photography, LLC
john_stockdale2
There was an article from a French magazine about this but I can't find the link. Anyway, I do remember that they considered Microphen to give slightly more speed but DD-X gave slightly higher pictorial quality. I'm sorry I can't find the link. It seemed like a very thorough article.
