michael bialecki in Pakistan

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody, to be honest I do not even know where to begin. I

would like first to thank Mitch Allard, Leslie Cheung (do we know

each other, it's amazing that you know that I was in Italy before

coming to India) Alan Chin,Trevor Hare and Sheery Krauter for their

support. Honestly I am so surprised by the accusations that are made

about me, but like I said earlier I have such little time for this

stuff, and I only log onto photo.net when I have questions or am

having problems, and to be honest I really enjoyed the fact there is

this group of Leica fans that have been available to help me out, but

I am not to sure what to think about all of this right now. I have no

idea who Alvaro Canovas is and I have not seen the Paris Match

website yet nor have I seen a hard copy of Paris Match, so I would

appreciate it if someone can scan it and email it to me. As far as

seeing my work, you will just have to wait until I finish my website.

As far as Gamma goes, I was in contact with them an hour after the

bombing and they were interested in my photos, I am not here in

Pakistan working for Gamma, they said that they are willing to look

at my photos when we meet in Paris in December and that's it. I

really don't feel like I should have to explain anything else because

I am more interested in the light outside than sitting in front of

this computer any longer..Once again thanks to all who have supported

me....oh one more thing, yes it was a 28mm elmarit and it was tri-x

rated at asa 400........Michael Bialecki

Michael, sorry that some people have had to be skeptical about you. This discussion group is currently plagued by a "troll" (person who likes to start inane discussions and controversy as a demented ego trip), who was banned under his own name, and in response created dozens of aliases to order to continue to pester us. So we are always a little skeptical about new people joining the discussion group, they may be another alias. He has done this serially to photo discussion groups across the Internet. Some people seem to think that using your life to make other people unhappy is a good thing, and that is very pathetic.

What has really upset me about this whole affair is the one person who i thought had a real handle on contemporary pj photography, doris chan, has blown her cover. I always felt that doris earned her keep by relaying to us mortals what was happening in the cutting edge of pj. Alas, dc's ignorance of md has destroyed all this.

michael--it's not you. Unfortunately this forum has had a problem with trolls in the past.

Some are very sensitive about them while others are not. So for some there's always a

"hunt" for potential trolls. LIke I said, it's not you. Please feel free to drop in any time. It's

great to hear from somebody who's actually out there making photographs.

The problem is not only "trolls" but also the "cranky old men" -- and by "old" I don't mean

age but a state of mind -- who spend the excessive time on the hands searching the internet

to verify whether posting like Michael Bialecki's are real or not. If this forum weren't their

main form of social life they wouldn't respond to trolls at all, or to real posters who they

suspect of being trolls, and this forum would be a much better place.
