MF Lensbabies

Ann,

The closest thing to that is the FlexBody, not really an accessory, but a camera body in its

own right. One could probably hack something oneself... there are some lens hacks on the

Medium Format Cameras Library pages that may give you some ideas.: Lens Hacker Hall

of Fame http://medfmt.8k.com/bronhacker.html Adapt Oddball Lenses for Better Tele

Shots http://medfmt.8k.com/bronross.html . Also, the PlungerCam is an idea... http://

I've rigged an ugly version of these things using an 80mm enlarging lens and an opaque black plastic bag from a box of 5x7 printing paper. Made for some interesting close ups. Clumsy to use, tho', because I had to handhold the lens in place.

A bit off topic. I just heard from Lensbabies that in a week or so they will have a T mount version of the Lensbabies (right now it comes in Nikon and Canon mounts only). Cost will be $125. I'm going to try it on my 2000FC/M as I have a M42 adapter (Lensbaby --> T mount M42 --> Hassleblad M42 adapter --> 2000FC/M). No infinity shots but the close-ups may prove to be interesting.

See, there is an advantage to the focal plane Hasselblads!

Just to add a small but quite significant comment to those who are reading this but may not realize it - to use a lensbaby or some such similar lens hack, you will need a camera with a focal plane shutter. Cameras designed for leaf shutter lenses like Bronica SQ or ETR series won't be good for this - I suppose still possible, but quite fiddly to manage, seeing as you already have to hold the thing in place as you take the shot.

Good point Jason!

Using these handheld without a focal plane shutter would be a stretch....something that I had not considered, as most of my work is in Large Format using barrel lenses, shooting without a shutter and using a hat is business as usual.... that system is working just fine for my new knockoff lensbaby on my Hasselblad. Happy lens hacking everyone!
