edsel_adams
The thought crossed my mind. How does my meter in my manual focus Nikon's(FM2n,F2A)know that the TC is in place? The meter gets told the F stop by the ring & lens? The meter cant see the difference?Does the TC allow for this automatically? kevin_jones2
The camera bodies that you mention calcuate exposure based on the amount of light reaching the meter coupled with the shutter speed. The meter does not know and does use care the lens' f-stop # reading. When using the TC-14B, the converter reduces the amount of light reaching the meter by one stop effectively.
