hyunyu
I'm a hobbyist photographer, in the process of checking out Lightroom 2.2 evaluation. I've noticed that when I filter the Library with metadata, the same EF 50mm f/1.8 lens shows up in two different categories, depending on which body it was used on. The 30D reports the lens as "EF50mm f/1.8", and the 450D reports it as "EF 50mm f/1.8 II". Thus there are two categories of pics taken with the 50mm lens.
I assume this is due to the way the camera generates the metadata with each shot. Is there a way to modify the way Lightroom works so that the program would know that "EF50mm f/1.8" and "EF50mm f/1.8 II" are one and the same and display the shots together through the Library filter?

Thank you for any help.
tarashnat
Do you have the latest firmware installed for both cameras?
