sven_felsby
I have taken a series of 13 sun photos at a partial eclipse, at fixed 10 min intervals (sort of) with an ND filter and the camera tripod mounted. Of course the sky is all black.
What I want to do is to merge all the pictures, so you will see all the suns on a nice curved line over the sky.
I have Aperture, Capture NX and (on my Parallels virtual machine) Photoshop elements. One solution I have thought might work was to convert all pictures to negative and use the Elements merging tool, and then convert back. But if any could devise a less cumbersome solution, I would be glad. Thanks!

JeffOwen
Not sure this is any less cumbersome;
1. bring all images into one psd as layers
2. with the last layer (top) reduce the opacity slightly until the image below can be seen
3. on the top layer use the erase tool set to brush & 100% and erase until image below is fully visible
4. restore top layer to 100% opacity
5. Merge top layer with layer below
6. repeat process going down through the layers
sven_felsby
Thanks, Jeff. Worth a try, if I can do it with PS Elements.
tom_mann1
Bring in all the images as layers, then set the blend mode of each layer to "lighten". Done.

Tom M.
