edward_breeden
I have been lusting after a Fuji G617 for sometime now, but before starting a search for a reasonably priced G617, I thought I'd better get this concern resolved. While processing 6x17 images is no problem, printing is another issue. Can anyone point me to labs which will print both color and B&W 6x17 prints. I have a Noblex 135U and send my color work to ABC Imaging in VA, but they don't print true B&W negatives. Thanks, Edward Breeden
david_goldfarb
Any pro lab that can handle large format should be able to print 6x17 cm, which is smaller than 5x7". Modernage in New York printed Horst Hamman's _New York Vertical_ shots (www.modernage.com).
cxc
Though I haven't used them, http://prophotoirvine.com/ has a good reputation. They specialize in all things panoramic.
cxc
Oh, and here's another place on my list, though again I have no personal experience: http://www.roundshot.com/labColorPrints.html
bill_eadie1
I would try something completely different. I would purchase a Canon G2 digital camera and use the included panoramic software to make 43 inch prints on an Epson inkjet printer. You know- snap the marina panorama in the early morning light and print it out when you get home. I saw a panoramic print at MacWorld SF done this way and it completely changed my thinking on what's required to make these kinds of prints.
