jimrock
Using Photoshop CS5, what "Media Type" should I select using an Epson r2880 to print with Epson Hot Press Natural and Hot Press Bright papers?

I haven't used this paper for a while and can't remember whether to use one of the matte paper or fine art settings. I've tried an Internet search but I can't seem to find the answer.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

--Jim

jimrock
Matt,

Thanks for the quick response. Ultra Smooth Fine Art it is. And a nice explanation that the media type is determined by paper thickness.

Thanks again. Now I can print.

--Jim Rock
Matt Laur
I'd have checked my own stash of Epson paper stock (they include an information sheet in every box, and it tells you this information), but I was away from printing workspace when I commented. I use Epson's Cold Press Bright in my 3880 for certain prints - it's really beautiful.
jimrock
Matt,

You are correct. I just looked at the information sheet again and it gives the media type. I missed it when I looked at it earlier this evening.

Still, it would be nice for Epson to include this information on their website with their profiles (maybe it's there and I didn't see it). Moab makes it very clear as which media type you use with all their papers.

Thanks again. Just looked at your portfolio. Some nice pix. Especially liked "Waiting" and "Weimaraner, Muddy Nose."

--Jim Rock
