Masahisa Fukase's "(The Solitude of) Ravens"

<p>I am trying to compile a list of the different editions of Masahisa Fukase's "(The Solitude of) Ravens", together with estimate prices.<br>

Ravens has been described as "the best photobook of the past 25 years" and has been critically extremely well received (http://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2010/may/24/masahisa-fukase-ravens-photobook). I don't know whether it's the best photobook of the past 25 years, but the photos are in any case outstanding.<br>

Ravens also costs a lot of money.<br>

I am confused which editions are out there. So far I think that exist:</p>

<li>1st edition, title "Ravens", hardcover, 1986, publisher: ???, apparently no ISBN, print run: ??? copies.</li>

<li>title: "Solitude of Ravens", softcover, 1991, publisher: Bedford Arts, ISBN-13: 978-0938491231, print run: ??? copies. Note: goodreads lists this as published by "Chronicle Books (CA)". Apparently the only ed. that can be found on Amazon.</li>

<li>title: "KARASU THE SOLITUDE OF RAVENS", hardcover, 2008, publisher: hysteric glamour/rathole gallery, Tokyo (http://www.ratholegallerybooks.com/goods_ja_jpy_41.html), apparently no ISBN, print run: 1000 copies.</li>

<p>I am wondering:<br>

Are these the only three editions out there, or are there more?<br>

Is the Bedford Arts ed. the same as the Chronicle Books ed.?<br>

What are <strong>realistic</strong> prices to pay for editions 1, 2 and 3? I don't mean what the current minimum bid quotes on ebay are. These are completely blown out of proportion and no-one is buying at some of these starting bids anyway. Rather, I wonder what a good recommendation would be to buy for these respective editions? I.e. how much would <em>you</em> pay if you wanted to buy it?<br>

Also, of course feel free to voice in this thread what's your opinion about the book in general.</p>
