Paul Skinner
I have a Mamiya RZ 67 with a 180mm lens with a RZ67 AE prism finder II. When using the prism finder you have to set the time value dial on the side of the camera to 'AEF' and I set the time value dial on the prism finder to the acquired time setting for exposure. I recently noticed there was a shutter lag when a photo was taken. I have just had it serviced and the problem is still occurring. The funny thing is that the shutter lag does not occur when the prism finder time vale dial is set to 'AEL'. The shutter lag only occurs when the prism finder dial is set to say- 400th, or 250th or any other 'number' on the dial. Please refer to 'photo A' for time value dial set to 'AEL' and refer to 'photo B' to time value dial set to a number, 400th, 250th etc. Has anyone seen this before? Does this happen because of the lens or the body? Does anyone know how to fix this issue. I would of thought that the service men who say they 'fixed it' would of let me know if it was a lens issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Paul
mikic
I'm having this same issue, although i'm not sure if it's while the AE finder is set to just those exact speeds. Did you ever find out the cause of the problem and the solution?
