terry_evans3
Hello,
I just bought an RZ ProII on the auction. I got it for $600, which isn't too bad, but it came with a 90mm lens instead of the 110. I am a little disappointed since I had read so many good reviews of the 110. The 90 focal length may even work out better, but I'm wondering if the 110 performs better. Has anyone shot with both and compared them?
Thank you,
Terry
enrico_pocopagni1
Hello Terry,
these are only few test shots (so to speak): http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=149558
90 RZ was my first lens. It is a stellar performer, exactly like all other Mamiya lenses.
Enrico
terry_evans3
Enrico,
That's good to hear, and I feel better now about the 90mm. I think the slightly wider focal length will work out better for me, anyway.
Thanks
rapires
I have both lenses, 110mm/f2.8 and 90mm/f3.5
Most of time i use 90mm and i can´t see the quality difrence between both lenses, except 90m have more wider focal.
Also i have 65mm and 180mm .
werner1
Terry, I have both the 90 and the 110. The 90 is better for landscapes because of its wider perspective. The 110 is actually smaller, the 2.8 helps in low light and generally is better for handheld shooting because of its size and weight. Theoretically the 110 2.8 should be better when pixel peeping, but I cannot see it in 16x20 prints. The 90 is overshadowed by the 110 as it has become the standard lens for the RZ, My 90 and 180 have produced the highest percentage of keepers on my RZ.
