Wilmarco Imaging Posted March 22, 2018 Share Posted March 22, 2018 Just looked at a Pro SD with prism finder. The ground glass (focusing screen) is 100% visible from edge to edge in both directions. From memory, this is also the case with the waist level finder. Technically, in the short direction, this is more than 100% coverage, because the area beyond the frame lines is visible in the finder, although not recorded on the negative. The finder shows 100% of what the focusing screen shows. I don't know the coverage of the focusing screen, relative to what is exposed on the film. paul ron Posted March 22, 2018 Share Posted March 22, 2018 +1 YES you can see both portrait and landscape 6x7 so what you see is actually 7x7... in all RB view finders even with the magnifyer flipped up. 1 The more you say, the less people listen.
