This is a 2x diopter, which means it focuses at 1/2 meter when the main lens is focused at infinity. It has a double (i.e., achromatic) group, which means the optical quality is better than the more typical single element version.</p> <p>If you can't change lenses, hence use a true macro lens or extension rings, this is your only option for shooting closer than the minimum focusing distance without the adapter.</p> Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
