talmage
I'm shooting a lot of macro with my RZ. I'm looking for something that will help me focus better. While I'm getting decent results with the WL finder and the built-in magnifying glass, I want better than that. Is the magnifier hood suitable for this? FWIW, I already installed a Brightscreen and that helps a lot. I'm using the 127mm with both the short and the long extension tubes (127mm of extension!). I found a BGN-grade hood with a broken light meter for $72 at KEH. I don't care about the meter. Dave
r_scott_steube
The magnifier hood is designed for the Pro, not the Pro II, but as you say the light meter is broken, it does not matter. To be safe you might want to insulate the electrical contacts on the hood. That said, I love my fully operational MagHood for macro images!
